Can players see the band's money?

Only if you let them. Fees, deposits, invoices and other players' pay are for leaders, checked on the server. Players always see their own pay.

Does anything get signed on the app's price alone?

No. A client asks to book, you check travel and anything unusual, and only then is the contract made. If you change the price, they accept it before signing.

What's the difference between Balance and Owing?

Balance is what's left on a gig still to come. Owing is a played gig that isn't marked paid.

Does it work with no reception?

Yes, for gig day and your show. Open them once with signal and they keep working with no bars.

Do I need to download an app?

No app store needed. Open the link in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) and add it to your home screen. It opens full screen with its own icon and can send notifications.

Why don't notifications work on my iPhone?

iPhone only allows notifications for apps on the home screen (iOS 16.4 or later). Add it to your home screen, open it from the icon, then switch on notifications in My profile.

How are drive times worked out?

From your address in My profile → Travel to the venue, on real roads. Leave by is the call time minus the drive and a buffer.

Can clients see what we pay each player?

Never. The client app shows their own booking, their price and their plan.

Do clients get a receipt when they pay?

Yes, one for each payment you record and each card payment. Change the amount later and they get an Updated receipt. Untick Email a receipt to skip one.

Does the client get the signed contract?

Yes. When you countersign, the signed PDF goes to the client who signed and anyone paying, with a link to their portal.

I'm in two bands. Which one does an email link open?

The band the email is about. Its name is in the subject, and the link switches you to that band.

Is anything I do in the demo saved?

The public demo is a sandbox with made-up bands. Click around freely: everything resets every night.

Do event bands lose anything if we switch to touring?

No. Switch on the touring tools in Settings → Features and keep client planning and special moments alongside tours, deals and day sheets.

Who sees the day sheet?

Everyone on the show sees it, with their own call times, travel and room first. The production link shares a version for the venue without any money.

Can crew use the app?

Yes. Crew members are invited, confirmed and paid like players, with a position like FOH engineer or Tour manager. They never see the band's finances.

How does the settlement work?

Pick the deal (flat, door, guarantee vs percentage, or guarantee plus percentage), enter the tickets and promoter expenses, and the app shows what the band is owed.

When is the lobby call reminder sent?

The evening before each show, as a push notification to everyone on it, with the first call time from the day sheet.

Do the artists' books mix?

Never. Each artist has its own database: gigs, people and money. You see them side by side, but nothing is shared.

What does an artist's band leader see?

Only their own artist, exactly like the single-band app. The roster, other artists and your commission stay with you.

How is commission worked out?

A percentage of each played, non-cancelled gig's fee from the start date you set. You can also take it on the fee less travel pay.

Which artist does an email link open?

The one the email is about. Emails name the artist in the subject and at the top, and their links switch you to that artist.

What counts as a double booking?

The same person on the lineup of two of your artists' gigs on the same date, unless they declined one of them.

Does the export include my music files?

No. The file has song names in order. Rekordbox, Serato, Engine DJ or VirtualDJ match them to the tracks in your own library.

Can a guest request a song on the do-not-play list?

They can ask, and they get a kind no. It never reaches your queue as a request to play.

Do guests need an account to request?

No. They scan the code or open the link, search a song and send it. Nothing about them is kept beyond the request.

Can the client control requests?

Yes. In their app they can turn on Approve requests first, and new requests wait for their yes.

Where do BPM and key come from?

From your own songs, when you've set them. Length, the explicit flag and the preview are looked up for you.

Can I import a Spotify playlist?

When Spotify import is switched on for your Backstage, yes, the first 100 songs of a public playlist. Apple Music links, pasted lists and CSV files always work.

Who hears the client's name recordings?

Only band leaders and the gig's DJ.

What does a company DJ see?

Their own gigs, the music plan, cue sheet, requests and their own pay. Never fees, deposits, other DJs' gigs or client contacts, unless you let them see the day-of contact.

Can one DJ be on two gigs the same night?

No. The app blocks it, and the same for a gear kit when every set is already out.
